About the group

The group is a registered charity whose object is to promote road safety and to reduce accidents in Beds, Herts and Bucks by the raising of driving standards, knowledge and skill. This is achieved by giving FREE advice on driver training to Associate Members to enable them to prepare for the RoSPA Advanced Driving Test.

We belong to a nationwide network of local groups who are associated to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents Advanced Drivers and Riders Association. In addition to training we usually hold meetings, at least quarterly, at Tilsworth Golf Centre on the third Wednesday of January, April, June & October (but it does vary occasionally, so please check with us before turning up – members should have received details in a newsletter or flyer).  We do not have a meeting in August or December.  Start time is 8.00pm prompt and usually last until 10.00pm. These evenings usually involve talks on driving related topics by guest speakers and are an opportunity to meet with other group members.

Moonwalk - May 2009– for the sixth year running, T-CAD supplied a crack team to carry out support driving for this very worthy cause in aid of breast cancer.  Tasks included ferrying marshals, media people and officials to and from points around the course, helping to deliver extra supplies of water and blankets when needed and collecting entrants unable to complete the course and those needing medial assistance and taking them back to the first aid centre (picture courtesy of Playtex Moonwalk).
